Meet Our Spectacular Team
Janet Ridenour
As a single mom in 1970, Janet Ridenour started a small tax business to help supplement her income while raising three children. She worked a full time job and did income taxes at home on nights and weekends. Her business grew to what is now a very successful business.
Her oldest daughter, Sandy Blanton began helping her when she was a child making copies and putting together the return after it was completed. Although Janet is not able to work because of her eyesight, she is still very involved in the business and enjoys visiting with her clients during tax season.
April 15, 2015, Janet moved to her home in heaven. Her legacy in this business will continue through her family.
Sandy Blanton
Sandy Blanton “officially” became involved in the company on 1985. She started out helping with the bookkeeping, filing and making appointments. As a small child she knew exactly what to ask a client to get their taxes done because she spent so much time listening to her mom. It wasn’t long and she was following in her mothers footsteps preparing tax returns for individuals and small businesses. In 2010, the business was turned over to her because of her mother’s failing eyesight. In 2017 the company named was changed to First Choice Tax Service, LLC.
